Data Deletion — Komix
Komix does not use accounts or sign-in — there is no username, password, or profile tied to your identity. This page explains how to remove the data the App does hold, both on your device and with our service providers.
1. Data stored on your device
Your reading history, bookmarks, language, and appearance preferences are stored locally on your device. To remove this data:
- Open Android Settings → Apps → Komix → Storage, then tap Clear storage/data — this removes your local reading history, bookmarks, and preferences immediately; or
- Uninstall the App — this removes all locally stored app data along with the App itself.
2. Data held by our service providers
The App uses Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) and Google AdMob, which associate some data (app usage events, crash logs, advertising identifier) with your device rather than a personal account — see our Privacy Policy for details. If you made an ad-free purchase, Google Play retains your purchase history as your payment processor.
To request deletion of the data these providers hold for your device:
- Email minhtrieo742@gmail.com with the subject "Komix — data deletion request", and include your device's advertising ID if you can (Android Settings → Google → Ads → your advertising ID) so we can identify the right records; if you made a purchase, include your Google Play order ID instead.
- We will forward the request to the relevant service provider and confirm once it's processed — generally within 30 days.
- You can also reset/opt out of your advertising ID directly, at any time, via Android Settings → Google → Ads, without contacting us.
3. What we can't delete on your behalf
Google Play purchase records are retained by Google as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes; we cannot delete those directly, but you can view and manage them via your Google Play account.
